This website is operated by THE AVO. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to THE AVO. THE AVO offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service (“Terms”), including any additional terms and policies referenced herein or available by hyperlink. These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and content contributors.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform for us to sell our products and services to you.

4. Product Use and Safety Disclaimer

Our leashes are handmade with care using high-quality materials including North American Biothane and solid brass hardware.

By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge and agree:

  • All products are used at your own risk.

  • THE AVO is not liable for injury, damage, or loss caused by misuse, lack of supervision, or failure to follow product guidelines.

  • Our leash is not a substitute for professional training or behavioral advice.

  • It is your responsibility to assess whether the leash is suitable for your specific dog’s behavior, size, or medical needs.

5. Product Care & Wear Notice

We want your AVO leash to last as long as possible — but like all dog gear, natural wear and tear will occur. To keep your dog safe, we recommend checking your leash regularly.

  • If the Biothane coating wears through and exposes the rope, it's time for a replacement.

  • If the brass clamps become loose, we will replace them free of charge. Just email heel@theavo.ca for a prepaid return label — only a minor shipping fee will apply.

We believe in making things right — especially for products that have lived a full life of dog love.

6. Accuracy, Completeness, and Timeliness of Information

We are not responsible if information on this site is not accurate, complete, or current. Content is provided for general information and should not be the sole basis for decision-making.

7. Modifications to the Service and Prices

Product prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service or product at any time without notice.

Certain products may be available exclusively online and in limited quantities. Returns and exchanges are subject to our Refund Policy.

We strive to display product colors and images accurately, but we cannot guarantee your screen will reflect true colors.
